Mercurial Heart releases on May 17, so make sure you put in your preorders. Since we’re officially in spoiler season, here are a few more since my last update. This is a very good looking set and I can’t wait to see what else Weebs of the Shore have in store.
May 17th is also May’s Mayhem celebration on TCG Player. People buying Grand Archive, or any other TCG product on May 17 from 9 AM ET – 11 PM ET will earn store credit on their purchase. Grand Archive has officially turned one! In celebration, the devs held a special celebration stream where they talked about the history of the game and had fun with the community. As someone just picking up Grand Archive, it was cool to see the history as well as the passion from both the devs and the community. You can check out the VOD of the steam on the official Grand Archive TCG YouTube.
The anniversary also marks the beginning of spoiler season for the upcoming Mercurial Heart set hitting stores on May 17. There are a lot of spicy spoilers that have me reaching for my wallet. Silvie is getting some amazing support with this set there is going to be a good amount of Tristan to keep fans happy. This round of spoilers definitely has me reaching for my wallet. The San Jose, CA regionals happened over the weekend, and it looks like Rai and Lorraine dominated the format. While the different flavors of Lorraine are interesting lists, it’s nice to see Rai carving his place on top. The VOD of the event is still up with commentary for those who want to see some competitive Grand Archive. Grand Archive Ascent is returning home to Taipei for what promises to be a fantastic weekend for fans of the competitive TCG June 8th – 9th. Players participating in Ascent Taipei will have a chance at $3000 and exclusive promos. Check the official announcement for all the prizing details. Ascent Taipei isn’t just for players on their grind for worlds. There will also be drafts, casual events, and vendors for all types of fans of Grand Archive to enjoy. There will also be the special Ascent store that will have exclusive official Grand Archive merch like Playmats, uncut sheets, and other TCG accessories (some of which you can only get at these events). Ascent Worlds is coming to Las Vagas on May 11 to the 12th. It will be an exciting time for fans of the competitive scene, I can’t wait to see what deck comes out on top. Tickets are still available.
Recently, Weebs of the Shore announced the Path of Silver event that will also be happening at Worlds. Collectors will have a chance to compete for some exclusive promos without having to play the game. This is fantastic news for those who aren’t good at the TCG or collectors of the game and still have a chance at some of the beautiful promos Weebs of the Shore hands out as prizes.
How it Works
The competition is limited to 200 participants. Participants must build a 50-card deck from their collection. You can look up the card value on the official database. A special multiplier will be announced during the day of the competition to shake things up. The person with the most points wins. You must submit your list through Omnidex before the event and have the physical card on hand. Make sure you have an account. Check the official post for the full details.

This is a very cool idea to encourage collecting. I like that it rewards collectors who want to enjoy the game, but don’t want to dip into the competitive scene. The multiplier is an interesting idea for making the contest a little less pay-to-win, but I have to see it in action first.
The contest has some solid prize support, so make sure you go through your collection and get out there. Always support your LGS, but if you need Grand Archive singles for the competition, you can always pick them up on TCG Player through my affiliate link.

This weekend was SEA Nationals at Agora Hobby, and we got to see some familiar faces. Zander and Toni seem to have carved their place into the meta, but Diana came out on top! I love to see how different regions of the world interact with the same card pool, so lets get into it! I’ll be leaving links to the singles for anyone who needs them. The Michigan Regionals were this weekend, and we got to see a few familiar faces do their thing. Tonoris seems to be carving his place in the meta while Zander shows his consistency yet again. It is cool to see the small tweaks and shifts in the meta as we get closer to words. I wonder what we’ll end up with?
