We are officially in Distorted Reflection spoiler season, and this set looks so good! The mechanics look sound, but as a collector, I am a huge fan of the style and world building. I will be following and collection spoilers as they release, so stay tuned for that!

The set comes out on July 25, so make sure you put in preorders if you still can. Always support your LGS, but you can always help me out and buy from TCG Player through my affiliate links. Tickets for Ascent Singapore have just gone on sale and now is a great time to start planning your trip. The 2nd SEA Ascent will be held on September 28th – 29th, so make sure you mark your calendars. I am interested in seeing what the meta will look like by then.

The Ascent events are always a good time for every type of Grand Archive fan. Sabrina, Spirit of Water Promo!

While the Path of Silver prizing hasn’t been announced yet, we do get to see the promo for the top 16, and it is so pretty! There is some solid cash prize support, but I am most excited about Sabrina, Spirit of Water. The art is so good, and I am sure the quality is spectacular.

If you enjoy these updates, please leave a like comment, and share this with your friends. If you need any Grand Archive product, get it over at TCG Player using my affiliate links! Don’t forget to follow the socials!

Mercurial Heart Season Kicks off With Some Very Cool Prizes!

The Mercurial Heart season has kicked off, and prizing has been announced. If you’re interested in the competitive scene or just want to play some Grand Archive, check with your LGS for a scene. Use the handy store locator on the Omnidex if you need a place to start! Grand Archive has some of the nicest players. Even if you’re not comfortable with your skills, you’re going to have a good time!

Store Championships

Store Championships start on July 1st and will run until September 27th, which gives you plenty of time to start brewing your competitive deck or at least earn a stamped Sabel Remnant! This season’s champion playmat is amazing! Make sure you check with your LGS to see when they’ll be running the next store championship!

Stamped Sable Remnant

You get a Sable Remnant just for showing up (while supplies last) so it might be worth trying worth checking it out. Who knows? You might get addicted to the chase!

Nationals Qualifier Invitation

Winners of the store championship will earn a special Windmill Engineer that not only looks pretty, but acts as their invitation to nationals!

Champion Playmat

The winner also gets an exclusive store champion playmat. The art is beautiful, and if I wasn’t already convinced about going for the Grand Archive, I would be going for a chance at the playmat!

Regionals

Regional season is also upon us! Players who do well at regionals will receive MRC Saphire packs with foils of cards only available in the Re:Collection decks. It might be a great chance at some valuable bling if you’re running either. Everyone attending a regional receives a cool playmat, but those who do well will earn points towards a Nationals invite and an even cooler playmat. I’m convinced to show up, even if I only get a prize for participation.

Lightweaver’s Assault

Players who do well at regionals will receive a special Lightweaver’s Assault card that comes with 3 points towards a nationals invite. This is such a cool card to chase! I like the idea of winning cards as invites. It reminds me of the old Yugioh anime, and that was such a huge part of my childhood.

Participation Playmat

Even if you don’t win, the playmat you get just for showing up is pretty cool. I’m hoping they run a regionals near me so I can get my hands on one.

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Countdown Collection Cards Are Cute!

BanG Dream! Girls fans should rejoice at Weiss Schwarz newest set BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Countdown Collection. This card has some of the best looking cards I’ve seen come from the game, and it isn’t heavy on the fan service like some of the other sets I’ve seen. Either way, there are cards in this set you’re going to want to chase as a collector and player of the game. The Countdown Collection is on sale now, so make sure you hit up your LGS and get you some product. For those where that isn’t an option, TCG Player has the Countdown Collection and other Weiss Schwarz products at a reasonable price. Make sure you use my affiliate links!

Grand Archive: Silvie, Slime Sovereign Re:Collection Box Review

I was able to snag a Silvie, Slime Sovereign Re:Collection box at MSRP. The prices are going down on TCG player so if your LGS ran out, you can snag one on TCG Player using my affiliate link.

Whats in the Box?

The recollection box gets you:

  • Slivie preconstructed 60 card main deck and 12-card material deck
  • 100 ct. Silvie Dragon Shield art Sleves
  • A set of cards to compete the playsets for your Main Deck
  • Damage Counter
  • Art Deviders
  • 3 x Mercurial Heart Booster Packs

Thoughts

I didn’t pull any of the collector secret rares, I will never be that lucky, but I am happy with the product. The box is very nice and sturdy. Mine came a little dented, but its going to get beat up anyways. I am a huge fan of the magnetic latch and a bigger fan of the art on the inside flap.

The box is a little too small for my taste. It doesn’t fit any of my regular deck boxes like a Pokemon ETB does, but this isn’t a deal breaker. The box does fit three sleeved decks without a box including side board with enough room for dividers and counters, but I feel like pulling out a deck is more convenience. You can fit about three of the included Dragon Shield cardboard deck boxes which is fine, but the deckbox is only big enough for a sleeved main and material deck. You’ll have to find another solution for your sideboard.

The included deck box is fine. It has cute matching artwork and you can label the top, but it is cardboard. Although it is somewhat sturdy, you’re going to replace it. Mine is dented, but it is a valid solution for now. Again, not a deal breaker since I can buy a better solution.

The included sleeves are great! I love the art on the mat back. Dragon Shield makes great quality sleeves, and these are no exception.

The Re:Collection boxes are a great product, and I am glad I bought mine. I haven’t had a chance to try out the decks, but as a collector, I am satisfied. They boxes look great, and they will look amazing on your shelf, sealed or not. A playset of the main deck cards is a nice little bonus. Most importantly, the recollection boxes are the only way to get your hands on the Tristan and Silvie collector rares. I wasn’t so lucky, but maybe you will. Either way, I am happy with my purchase and can’t wait to bust it out!

Grand Archive Path of Silver: New Competitive Mode for Collectors

Ascent Worlds is coming to Las Vagas on May 11 to the 12th. It will be an exciting time for fans of the competitive scene, I can’t wait to see what deck comes out on top. Tickets are still available.

Recently, Weebs of the Shore announced the Path of Silver event that will also be happening at Worlds. Collectors will have a chance to compete for some exclusive promos without having to play the game. This is fantastic news for those who aren’t good at the TCG or collectors of the game and still have a chance at some of the beautiful promos Weebs of the Shore hands out as prizes.

How it Works

The competition is limited to 200 participants. Participants must build a 50-card deck from their collection. You can look up the card value on the official database. A special multiplier will be announced during the day of the competition to shake things up. The person with the most points wins. You must submit your list through Omnidex before the event and have the physical card on hand. Make sure you have an account. Check the official post for the full details.

Top Prize Promo

These promos are so cool, and they’re going to look even better in person!

Catagory Prize Promos

Mystique
Ferocity
Valor

Conclusion

This is a very cool idea to encourage collecting. I like that it rewards collectors who want to enjoy the game, but don’t want to dip into the competitive scene. The multiplier is an interesting idea for making the contest a little less pay-to-win, but I have to see it in action first.

The contest has some solid prize support, so make sure you go through your collection and get out there. Always support your LGS, but if you need Grand Archive singles for the competition, you can always pick them up on TCG Player through my affiliate link.

Pokemon TCG: Top 3 Meta Decks Post Rotation – EUIC

EUIC was this weekend and it was the first big tournament post-rotation. While some of you won’t be happy with Charizard on top, it’s nice to see a tournament not dominated by Lost Box. There was a pretty healthy spread of archetypes, which is a great sign for a healthy meta. It is really cool to see the new meta take shape as we head to worlds. Cleffa presented itself as a useful piece of utility, and Buddy-Buddy Poffin has cemented itself as a solid staple.

I collected the top three deck lists and will leave links to to the singles for those who want them. It isn’t an unsurprising batch, but the new archetypes are off to a strong start. It looks like we’re in for an interesting season.

If you need to pick up any Pokemon as the new Temporal Forces set, pick it up at TCG Player through my affiliate link. If you enjoy these updates, leave a like, comment, and share this with your friends. Don’t forget to follow the socials! I am currently doing pack openings of Battle Spirits Saga on my TikTok and YouTube.

1. Charizard – Tord Reklev

2. Lost Tina – Isaiah Bradner

3. Pidgeot Control – Alessandro Cremascoli

Explore Into the Inklands Card List: Lorcana TCG

Into the Inklands is already in stores, and man is this a beautiful fan. I am a huge fan of all the Treasure Planet and Atlantis cards, but there is a lot that is going to look amazing in the binder. The secret rares in this set are beautiful, with the clear favorites being Chernabog and Kida. Make sure you check your LGS for product and events.

The your LGS doesn’t have any Into the Inklands products, like Booster Boxes, Starter Decks (Ruby & Saphire)(Amber & Emerald), the Gift Set, or Singles, pick them up on TCG Player through my Affiliate links.
