Check out the Lyra Starter Deck List: Altered TCG

The Altered TCG Kickstarter launched recently, and it was fully funded in two minutes. The campaign has blown well past its goals, and continues to gain traction. Altered attempts to redefine the TCG space with its creative gameplay and expansive world-building. I’m a huge fan of the art, and am curious to see how it plays. Check out my previous post for more details.

The Kickstarter introduces six distinct starter decks based on the factions that exist within the Asgartha peninsula. Let’s kick things off by looking at the Lyra starter deck! Not that you’ll only be able to get Adventure cards from the starter decks, so it be a good idea to nab a couple.

If you want to try out the Axiom starter deck, take advantage of the generous print-and-play feature on the official website. Join the Discord to stay up to date, and even make some friends. The campaign ends on February 28th, so don’t forget to back the Kickstarter!

If you enjoy these updates, make sure you leave a like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends.

If you want to try the deck, you can download the pnp from the official site in A4 and Letter sized paper, but I’ll leave the downloads here for your convenience:

Top 5 Pokemon Decks Since Liverpool Regionals

Life has been a little crazy lately, but I think I’ve managed to get back on schedule. The Liverpool regionals were this weekend, and it was nice to see how the format is shifting. Lost Box continues to demonstrate its prominence in the format, but Charizard Ex and Snorlax Stall are steadily carving out their place in the format. I am interested in seeing what the meta ends up being at worlds, but for now, let’s look at the top five archetypes in the meta.

If you enjoy these updates, please leave a like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends.

1. Mew VMAX

Mew VMAX will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first meta deck I ever made. It is such a strong deck, especially in the right hands. It’s quick, it hits hard, but it does have a high risk. Not the most beginner-friendly deck, but it is the easiest to build and the most rewarding. Congratulations to Fabrizio Inga Silva for first place!

2. LostTina

To no one’s surprise, LostTina continues to show up strong! This archetype is solid for good reason. You have a decent draw, some awesome early game pressure, and great late game power. Just fill up your lost zone and get to work. Congratulations to Brent Tonisson for 2nd place.

3. LostZard

LostZard was actually the lost zone deck I was running and I had a lot of fun with the deck. This deck has some cool tools I am definitely thinking of trying. Congratulations to Brennan Kamerman for top 3!

4. Snorlax Stall

I know there is a lot of hate for this deck, but it is a legitimate way to play the game and it is seeing results. I don’t think it is the best deck in the format, but if you like the slow ramp of this control deck, who am I to stop you. This deck does a lot of neat and annoying things, but it isn’t broken or unbeatable. Congratulations to Niklaus Christen for 4th place!

5. Charizard ex

Last but not least we have Charizard ex. Love it or hate it, this deck has found its place in the format and it is here to stay. It is a solid deck, easy to pick up, and nasty to deal with. What’s important to note is the deck isn’t unbeatable, none of the decks in the format are, which is great sign for the health of the meta. Congratulations to Laurens Van Brecht on 5th place!

Digimon Liberator and Illustration Competition Promos Revealed

The Digimon Liberator webcomic was teased last month. The webcomic will be about the card game and will introduce new characters, Digimon, and Digivolutions. To celebrate, Bandai is releasing six promo cards featuring the new characters. I’m digging these promos and hope they make them easy to obtain later on.

Digimon Liberator packs will be given out at the Bandai Card Games Fest in Los Angeles, January 27-28. Packs will only have 1 card, so I hope they make it easy to earn multiple. A global release of the promo packs will be announced later this year.

The event is free, so if you are in the area and love Digimon or any of the other Bandai IPs, try to make some time. It looks like it is too late to participate and spectate the tournaments, but they’ll be streaming the finals on YouTube.

Attendees will also have the chance to earn an Illustration Competition and Digimon Liberator promo pack by completing the scavenger hunt. Supplies are limited, so you better act fast! There are some cool promos going into this event, so let’s at least have a look!

Imperialdramon: Dragon Mode Ace

Atendees can get their hands on this sick Imperialdramon promo! I love the colors! I’ll be updating this with a better quality image as soon as I find one.

Illustration Competition 2023 Promos

These are still being revealed, so I’ll be updating this post regularly until I have the full set.

Alchemical Revolution: Arisanna Start Deck Revealed

Alchemical Revolution releases on January 26. It is bringing three new classes, elements, and some new elements you’re going to want to try. The card list has been released, so make sure you check out the post to get hyped! Make sure you check with your LGS for product and events, but there is always TCG Player if that isn’t an option.

The Arisanna starter deck is introducing some cool new mechanics that I am very interested in trying. I am still looking for a deck list, but lets look at some of the cards until then. If you enjoy these updates please follow, comment, subscribe, and share this with your friends!

Alchemical Revolution: Diana Starter Deck List

Alchemical Revolution released on January 26th, and the set looks really good. It introduced the Ranger class with Diana, and she looks like a lot of fun. I know I am a little slow on the draw, but I finally pulled together the starter deck list. I recommend you pick your up at your LGS or a trusted online retailer. You can try TCG Player, but it is expensive at the moment.

If you’re thinking of picking up Alchemical Revolution, but don’t know if its right for you, take advantage of the print and play feature on the official website. If you’re new to the hobby and new a place to find games, friends, or answers, join the official Discord.

Alchemical Revolution Card List is Live!

Alchemical Revolution releases on January 26th, but the full card list is up! I love the art of this game, but it is introducing some cool new mechanics that I need to try. If you want to try Grand Archive before making your first purchase, the kind folks at Weebs of the Shore have a nice print-and-play section and comprehensive tutorial you should take advantage of. Decide quickly because first edition boxes of Alchemical Revolution are limited, and there won’t be reprints.

Let’s get hyped about the release by looking at the card list. Check with your LGS for any events and products, but there’s always TCG Player if that isn’t an option.

The Animal Colosseum Alt Arts are so Pretty!

Animal Colosseum releases this Friday, January 19th, and I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate the alt art cards. I love Digimon because it has some of the coolest art in any TCG (I’m a little biased), and this set is no exception. I’ve already made a post for the Digital art, but they don’t do them justice. This is a game where you need to hold the foil in your hand to appreciate the detail. I don’t have the real thing, so pictures will have to do for now.

If you enjoy these updates, make sure you leave a like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends. Always support your LGS, but you can always preorder Animal Colusseum or purchase any other Digimon Product, like the Blast Ace booster, over at TCG Player.

Animal Colosseum Box Toppers and Promos

Animal Colosseum releases this Friday, January 19th, so lets take a look at the box toppers. There are a few Digitama I wouldn’t getting my hands on, and that Skullgreymon just looks so sick. Always check with your LGS for any events and product, but you can always preorder Animal Colusseum on TCG Player.

If you enjoy these updates, make sure you leave a comment, like, follow, and share this with your friends. If you’re looking for any Digimon product like Blast Ace, get it over at TCG Player
