Beginning Observerhits stores on May 24th, which means its time to get excited and look at all the spoilers released so far. There are ton of very cute cards in this set, and some cards from the Digimon Seekers web novel. While the official release was a bit disappointing, it wasn’t so bad once I fixed it up a bit. Regardless if you read the novel, there are some cards in this set you’re going to want in your collection.
TCG Player is having their May’s Mayhem celebration on May 17 where players can earn store credit on singles, booster boxes, and everything else TCG. If you’re planning on placing your preorder for Beggining Observer, I would wait till the 17th. The amount you can earn hasn’t been announced yet, stay tuned to learn more.

The first chapter of Digimon Liberatorwas released on the official Digimon website, and Bandai has botched its release. If you can get the comic to load, it’s off to a strong start, but I gave up when it stopped loading halfway through. The comic is supposed to bring new people into the hobby with its compelling narrative, memorable characters, and story-inspired product. Unfortunately, botched releases like this continue to hurt the growth of the Digimon fandom. While long-time fans will find ways to struggle through the official content or find fan-driven alternatives, newer or casual fans will give up. I hope that Bandai listens to its fans enough to fix the comic moving better, but I read through Digimon Seekers and know better.
That said, the Digimon TCG is getting a Liberator themed set sometime in September, and we got some spoilers! The cards look sick! I was ready to give up on the comic, but after seeing some of these cards, I might struggle through or find an alternative.
Always support your LGS, but you can always pick up Digimon, like the upcoming Beginning Observerset on TCG Player through my affiliate links. I am currently doing pack openings of Battles Spirits Saga on my YouTube and TikTok.
Sidney just had their online regionals this weekend, and I’ll jump in on the top four decks that dominated the format. Always support your LGS, but I’ll leave TCG Player affiliate links to the singles for those who need them.

The Digimon Liberator webcomic was teased last month. The webcomic will be about the card game and will introduce new characters, Digimon, and Digivolutions. To celebrate, Bandai is releasing six promo cards featuring the new characters. I’m digging these promos and hope they make them easy to obtain later on.
Digimon Liberator packs will be given out at the Bandai Card Games Fest in Los Angeles, January 27-28. Packs will only have 1 card, so I hope they make it easy to earn multiple. A global release of the promo packs will be announced later this year.
The event is free, so if you are in the area and love Digimon or any of the other Bandai IPs, try to make some time. It looks like it is too late to participate and spectate the tournaments, but they’ll be streaming the finals on YouTube.
Attendees will also have the chance to earn an Illustration Competition and Digimon Liberator promo pack by completing the scavenger hunt. Supplies are limited, so you better act fast! There are some cool promos going into this event, so let’s at least have a look!

Animal Colosseumreleases this Friday, January 19th, so lets take a look at the box toppers. There are a few Digitama I wouldn’t getting my hands on, and that Skullgreymon just looks so sick. Always check with your LGS for any events and product, but you can always preorder Animal Colusseum on TCG Player.
If you enjoy these updates, make sure you leave a comment, like, follow, and share this with your friends. If you’re looking for any Digimon product like Blast Ace, get it over at TCG Player
Animal Colosseum releases on January 19th, so let’s get excited by looking at all the alt art cards. This set has some amazing art. It was hard to choose a favorite, but the retro frame MetalGarurumon (X Antibody) alt stands out the most. If you enjoyed the Digimon Dawn and Dusk games, the alts for the mascots are amazing! You’re definitely going to want some of these in your collection.

Back in November, Bandai released an odd and cryptic teaser about an upcoming project hitting the Digimon TCG.
Some fans were hopeful it was an announcement for an online client, while others threw around terms like NFTs. I thought it was going to be an anime or short because of the new characters featured in the trailer. There has been a lot of speculation since then, and today we got an official announcement.
Bandai has announced the Digimon Liberator web comic for next year. We didn’t get much information outside the trailer, some character design, and an official website, but there will be another update in January. I can only presume the manga is about kids playing the Digimon TCG.
Fans who were expecting an online client were rightfully disappointed. People who have no interest in lore or these online free projects share in this disappointment. I feel bad for the folks who stayed up late or woke up early to catch the announcement live to receive news that wasn’t worth the sleep deprivation.
I am a little disappointed that it won’t be an animated series, but I’ll take another Digimon story in whatever form I can get it. After Pokémon: Path to the Peak, I am hopeful for a good story about playing the Digimon. The art is cool, and it might get adapted if it does well. I just hope that this gets a proper English translation.
We also got an announcement for the 25th Digimoncon happening in 2024. I’ll be covering both the event and the update on the web comic. Stay tuned for that. If you enjoy these updates, make sure you leave a like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends. You can also always buy me coffee!
Animal Colosseum releases on January 19th, so let’s look at the Yellow cards hitting the format. There is a bit of overlap, but we are getting a Fanglongmon card. I’m a bit underwhelmed by the design, but at least the alt art card is cool. Mitamamon is a personal favorite from this color.

I’ll also be leaving links to the singles where available, but I would hold off till after the set releases and the prices stabilize.
