If you haven’t backed Paragon: Monsters & Mayhemyet on Kickstarter, you still have time. It is a great way to help support an indie TCG in getting on its feet and earning some exclusive products. Be aware that there is always risk when backing a Kickstarter. I’ve done a more detailed post about the gameplay already, make sure you check that out first.
The creators have revealed a few of the cards for their inaugural set, and they look amazing. I am a huge fan of the dark and gritty fantasy feel. This is such a good looking game.
As a disclaimer, I am not affiliate with the Paragon: Monster & Mayhem. I wasn’t even asked to cover this game. I just thought the game looked cool and I thought I would share.
After the rousing success of the initial Supporter Pack, Grand Archive is releasing a second! Supporter packs are designed with collectors in mind, featuring unique alts for cards already in the format. This is a great way to boost your collection if you’re participating in any Path of Silver events.
Supporter packs will only be sold at official Grand Archive events, events run by partners, or trade shows. Purchase limits will be placed, hopefully mitigating those pesky scalpers. Anime Expo 2024 on July 4th will be the first time the new Supporter Packs will be sold, and we’ve already got some exciting-looking teasers!
This is a direct-to-consumer product and won’t be sold in stores. This is so that Weebs of the Shore doesn’t take away profits from the local game store. Fans of Grand Archive who purchase the Supporter Packs get to bling out their collection while directly helping the game they love grow. I love what I’ve seen so far, I can’t wait to see the rest of the spoilers. I hope I can find the time to go to an event and get my hands on a couple.

Mortal Ambition‘s release date has been set for October 11, 2024. The set explores a new world which means a new aesthetic, mechanics, and champions. The set will be released with two new starter decks, each with a chance at a random CSR. I know I won’t ever pull one, but I’ll be picking them up to keep the dream alive.
Jin Starter Deck
Jin is the newest champion to join the roster, and I am excited to see what changes he brings to the warrior class. Jin will use Wind and Exia elements in his 60-card main deck and 12-card material deck. At $14.99 MSRP ($119.99 for the case) might be a good way to get into the hobby. It won’t be as good as the Re:Collection decks out of the box, but the starter decks tend to be a solid introduction to the game. I’ll take 8.
Kongming Starter Deck
Along with Jin we are getting Kongming. Kongming is a Mage that taps into the Water and Tera elements, and I am excited to see what her gameplay will look like. At MSRP $14.99 ($119.99 for the case) you get the 60-card main deck, the 12-card material deck, and a chance at some unique CSR cards. Good luck to all the good folks chasing
Mortal Ambition
Mortal Ambitions will be hitting the shelves with:
229 Unique Cards
238 foil variations
Rarity Breakdown:
75C / 59U / 55R / 32SR / 8UR / 11CSR / 1CUR
First edition boxes only get one printing, so make sure you scoop yours fast before the boxes get expensive. This will be your only chance to pick up some of the exclusive collector rares. Booster packs of AMB will retail for $4.49, and boxes will go for $107.99. Make sure you get your preorders in at your LGS when they become available.
Conclusion
I know we just got Mercurial Heart, which is a fantastic set, but its always nice to look into the future. I am already digging the vibe for Mortal ambition, and the art we’ve been teased has me reaching for my wallet. I’ll probably pick up a box, but I’ll definitely be picking up the decks. I still regret not picking up any Alchemical Revolution when I had the chance.

Chronicles of Arcanejust had their first set drop and it is beautiful. I love the art and flavor, and the gameplay seems interesting. There is still product available on the official site, so make sure you pick up some before it is gone!
I’ve gone ahead and separated all the cards from the first set and separated them by faction. This is a cool-looking game, and I bet the physical cards look even better. If you want to know more about the game, or just want to find some people to play with, join the official Chronicles of Arcane discord.

Best Buy and Target has put up their Pokemon 151 bundles up for pre-order. The set has already sold out on the Pokemon Center site, so now might be a good time to pick up a few of the bundles before the release on November. This set is beautiful and the bundles have enough incentive to get collectors excited. I know it is going to be very hard for me to buy into this set, but I am trying. Give me a follow if you’ve been enjoying my updates, and don’t forget to share this with your friends!

Pokemon has officially announced the complete card list for their upcoming Pokemon 151 set releasing in Japan on June 16th. The Western release is scheduled for September 22nd, so make sure you start saving up now! This set is simply beautiful. The regular set is nice, but the alt arts are amazing! The set will feature the original 151 Pokemon, including Kadabra which hasn’t been available in a card for 20 years. There are 165 cards in this set with a few alt arts to pad it out. I will have to try my hardest not to collect them all. I don’t normally buy Pokemon cards, but I might have to snag a couple of packs on my trip to Japan for the nostalgia.
