Pokémon Paradox Rift set releases November 3, 2023

Pokémon just announced the release date for their newest set, Paradox Rift, so it might be a good time to start clearing out some space on your shelves. The set will introduce Ancient and Future Pokémon and Trainer cards, as well as Ace spec cards. Ancient Pokémon will be bulky and hit hard, while Future Pokémon will hit with special abilities for a more control deck vibe. The expansion will also include:

  • 13 Pokémon ex and seven Tera Pokémon ex
  • 34 illustration rare Pokémon
  • 15 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • 28 ultra rare full-art etched Pokémon ex and Supporter cards
  • 7 hyper rare gold etched cards

We did get some cards spoiled at worlds, and I will keep an eye out for anything new.

We did get artwork for the two Elite Trainer Boxes the set will release with, Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon.

The upcoming Pokémon set, Paradox Rift, just got some spoilers!

I know it is a little early for these since this set won’t be releasing til after Pokemon 151, but there is no shame in getting excited. With Worlds happening now, I am sure we will get a few more reveals before the weekend is out. I’ll do my best to catch it and report it when I can. Froslass ex

Ability: Je Ne Sais Quoi
If this Pokémon in the Active Spot and is Knocked Out, flip a coin. If heads, your opponent takes 1 fewer Prize card.

[W][W] Frost Bullet: 140 damage. This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Snorunt

[W] Ice Shard: 10+ damage. If your opponent’s Active Pokémon is a [F] Pokémon, this attack does 30 more damage.

Garchomp ex

[F] Hydro Lander: 160 damage. Attach up to 3 Basic [F] Energy from your discard pile to your Benched Pokémon in any way you like.

[C][C] Sonic Dive: Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. This attack does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Groudon

[C] Overflowing Power: Attach a Basic [F] Energy from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon.

[F][F][C] Magma Purge: 60x damage. You may discard up to 4 Energy from your Pokémon. This attack does 60 damage for each card discarded in this way.

Gible

[F] Bite: 20 damage.

Gabite

[F] Power Blast: 50 damage. Discard an Energy from this Pokémon.

Rika

Look at the top 4 cards of your deck and put 2 of them into your hand. Shuffle the other cards and put them on the bottom of your deck.

Larry

Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for up to 2 Pokémon, reveal them, and put them into your hand. If tails, search your deck for a Basic Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.

Technical Machine: Blindside

The Pokémon this card is attached to can use the attack on this card. (You still need the necessary Energy to use this attack.) If this card is attached to 1 of your Pokémon, discard it at the end of the turn.

[C][C][C] Blindside: This attack does 100 damage to 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon that has any damage counters on it. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Technical Machine: Turbo Energize

The Pokémon this card is attached to can use the attack on this card. (You still need the necessary Energy to use this attack.) If this card is attached to 1 of your Pokémon, discard it at the end of the turn.

[C] Turbo Energize: Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Energy cards and attach them to your Benched Pokémon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.

It wasn’t a super eventful week. The Versus Royal Knight Set just came out so I am not surprised. We did get this months store championship promos revealed, and they look pretty cool. I am very tempted to build a deck and try to make it to locals. Don’t forget to follow, like, comment, and share this with your friends!

These are going to look beautiful in a binder. I am never lucky enough to pull these, but I hope you are. Check your LGS to see if they carry Digimon, or pick some up at TCG Player if you don’t have one.

August Store Championship Promo Cards

This month’s promos are looking pretty cool. I hope this brings more people to locals and into the hobby. I want this game to be popular enough so that I can play online like I do with Pokemon.

Premium Bandai Preorder: Dioboromon Playmat Set

Preorders for the Dioboromon set are up on Premium Bandai until August 27. Make sure you put your orders in if you play Diaboromon, or just enjoy the artwork. These cards look sick! You get a play mat, a play set of the 2 new alt cards, and 5 tokens for $50. That’s a pretty good deal for what you’re getting.

Disney Lorcana: Saphire Card List

To finish up the previews for the upcoming Lorcana set, lets go over the sapphire card list. Lorcana comes out August 18, so don’t forget to ask your LGS if they will carry it. There are lot of cool cards, especially if you like the Disney art. I am excited for what this could mean for tcgs as it brings new fans into the space, and it looks simple enough to play with kids. Disney’s Lorcana: Amethyst Ink Card List

Lets keep getting hyped for the release of Disney’s Lorcana by looking at the Amethyst Ink cards. There are some very cool looking cards that have me excited for release. Lorcana: Amber Ink Card List

Disney’s Lorcana comes out August 18th so lets get excited by looking at the Amber Ink card list. There are lots of cool looking cards that are going to look so good in a binder. Make sure you get all your Lorcana from your LGS and don’t forget to comment, like, subscribe, and share this with your friends!

I am loving the Lilo and Stitch cards. This set is starting off real strong, but I wonder if there will be alt art secret rares or special box toppers like you see in other TCGs to give collectors something to chase. Either way, I am very excited. How about you? Will you be buying into Lorcana?

Lorcana: Red Ink Card List

Disney’s Lorcana is just around the corner and I just thought I would share some of the cards to get people to share in my excitement. I am always down for a new TCG and the cards look really good. I haven’t had a chance to play the game, but at the very least it is sure to bring new people into the TCG space and that is always a good thing. I know I am a little late on this update, but I just got back from vacation. The trip was great but now its time to get back on schedule. The Versus Royal Knights set has released and we got a few more reveals that have gotten me excited for the set. Always check with your LGS if they carry Digimon, but you can find the new set on TCG Player if they don’t. Versus Royal Knights Box Toppers

The box toppers aren’t the most exciting I’ve seen, but I could always use some full art tamer cards. This set will feature trainers Digimon Savers.

Versus Royal Knights Alt Art Cards

This set has some very cool alt cards that I need in my binder. The gold cards in this set are sick!

The rest of the full art cards have gotten me very excited for this set. The art is so good!

More Versus Royal Knights Reveals

I wasn’t excited about the initial reveals, but they really did leave the best for last.

Beezlemon Premium Binder Set Preorder

Preorders for the Beezlemon binder set are still open. This is a cool product to buy into if you like Beezlemon and want some of the alt art cards to spice up your deck. The bundle comes with two copies of four new unique alt cards and a binder for your cards. The alt cards look sick and Premium Bandia merch always looks great quality out of the box.

Pokemon’s upcoming set, Obsidian Flames, has some beautiful alt art cards!

In preparation for the upcoming for the upcoming Pokemon set, Obsidian Flames, I thought it would be a cool idea to show off some of the full art cards that have been revealed. There are some cool cards in this set, not as cool as Paldea Evolved yet, but I can see the potential. Obsidian Flames comes out on August 11th so make sure you preorder from your LGS or TCG Player if you don’t have one. Charizard Ex

I’ll start off with what is probably the card that is going to move this set. I mean who doesn’t love another Charizard and the alt arts are just beautiful. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but the gold is going to looks so nice in a binder!

Cleffa

The art card for Cleffa is so cute! This would probably my reason to buy into this set, but just see for your self.

Pidgeotto

I think I prefer the regular print of the Pidgeotto better, but maybe this is one of those cards you have to appreciate in person.

Lechonc

This is just too cute! It also a pretty accurate mood.

Ryme

I wish it was a but more colorful, but I like the spray paint style for this Ryme card. But the effect is not bad. You get a draw and you get to switch your Opponents Pokemon?
