Premium Bandai just dropped a high grade Lfrith Anavata on us, and it looks pretty cool. There was only one gunpla reveal, so I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. They also dropped some cool swag for Gundam and their other IPs that might be worth looking into. I recommend you keep adding things to your cart till you hit the free shipping, but the shipping isn’t too bad. At least the the US it’s not. And don’t forget to leave me a like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends if you’ve been enjoying these updates!
HG 1/144 GUNDAM LFRITH ANAVATA ($22)
I know it’s only a high grade, but the detail is amazing. I love the electric swords I am not the hugest fan of the color scheme, but it probably looks better in person. I love the Witch From Murcury kits, so I might just get this to collect them all. Anyways, preorders are open til January 2nd, or until supplies run out. Kits are expected to ship in February.
Premium Bandai just put a bunch of swag on their Gundam store page, so make sure you check it out if you need to update your wardrobe. What I am most excited about are the gunpla kits they just put up for preorder. They have a couple of fun colored Zaku’s and a cool master grade kit you might want to pick up. If you enjoy these updates, make sure you like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends.
I’ll start with what I believe to be the coolest kit of the announcements. I love the black and details, the decals will surely give me trouble but the end result is worth it. Preorders for the KÄMPFER SCHWER are open till January 2nd, or till supplies run out. It is expected to ship in February.
Who doesn’t need another Zaku? It is a unique color scheme, and perfect for people like me who can’t paint their own camo. Preorders for the EGBA Zaku are open til January 2nd, or until supplies run out. Kits are expected to ship on February 2nd.
HG 1/144 HOBBY HI-ZACK (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.) ($32)
Last but not least we have the Hobby Hi-Jack, and I love the whimsical design for this kit. It is such a pleasing color scheme, and it is sure to stand out in any collection. $32 is a solid price point for a kit this unique. Preorders for the Hobby Hi-Jack are open til January 2nd, or till supplies run out. Kits are expected to ship in February.
Here we have a unique twist on a classic design. I like the retro feel of this piece, and it has some unique decals. It isn’t going to be for everyone, but it is available if you need another RX-78-2.
Preorders are open til January 2nd, or until supplies run out. Get your kit from Premium Bandai

If you haven’t been watching this mini-series, you need to. It is an adorable re-imagining of the Pokémon TCG competitive scene that doesn’t require any knowledge of Pokémon or the card game to enjoy. It has a great protagonist, a fun story, and a cute art style. If you weren’t playing the TCG before watching this, you’re going to want to after.
As I did with last weeks episode, I am going to over analyze what happened in Worlds. This will contain spoilers, so make sure you watch the episode before reading the rest. If you enjoy these posts, make sure you like, comment, subscribe, and share this with your friends.
Last week, Ava experienced her first big loss. She became so consumed by her desire to win that she forgot to have fun. The loss devastates Ava because she feels like she let everyone down. This pressure breaks her, and Ava decides to quit the game. She stops going to the club or talking to her friends because of the shame she feels for losing internationals.
In previous episodes, we’ve seen her mother try to talk to Ava about the competitive scene. The cards that were the catalyst for Ava’s adventure once belonged to her mother. We got the sense that Ava’s mother was also a competitive player and that Ava’s natural talent might have also been passed down through her. In this episode, confirmation through some important back story. We get to see Ava’s mother comfort her from a place of empathy, and it is a very cute moment. Ava’s mother faced a similar loss and quit the hobby as a result. She advises Ava not to do the same and to remember why she started playing.
This is an important moment for Ava because not only does she learn how to deal with loss, she remembers why she started playing in the first place. When Ava played the game to win and be the champion she thought everyone wanted her to be, she lost the connection she had to the game. You see less of the Pokemon and more of the mounting stress that looms over Ava as she grinds through the scene. The Pokémon TCG is important to Ava because it is what helped her make important friends and find her place in society. Remembering why she played in the first place helps her deal with the stress, and she starts to have fun again. At this moment, the series shifts focus to the Pokémon, and the audience gets to see a cute and fun battle. Unfortunately, this marks the end of the series, but it was such a fun ride. I loved watching Ava grow as a character, and it even got me excited to play more Pokemon.
As someone who plays a lot of card games, this series is amazing. It had a fun story, cute art, and animation, and it was able to capture why card games are so fun. It is easy to lose sight of what’s important when you are climbing the ladder, and even easier to be stuck in a stressful grind. I’ve done my fair share of obsessing over rank, and remember the tilting frustration that came with the grind. Games and hobbies are supposed to be fun. When they start feeling like a job, it is okay to take a break. Don’t let the climb become more important than your love for the hobby.
Anyways, if you haven’t watched Path to the Peak, go check it out on the official Pokémon YouTube.

I just wanted to share the news because the cards are beautiful, and wanted to spread the news. My hope is that it will get other people interested in at least collecting. I just started my collection and I am obsessed. I haven’t had a chance to play the game with people because my schedule is so busy, but the gameplay is pretty fun. If you want to start learning the game, they have a free app for Android and IOS devices that shows how to play. The official Reddit and Discord are great places to go if you want information or want to pick up a game or three. I will make sure I come back with news on how to get the cards.
I have been looking to get into a new TCG since Magic is getting too expensive. I play a bit of Magic the Gathering Arena and PokemonTCG in my free time because of their accessibility, but I want something new and fresh. One of the games I have been curious about is Flesh and Blood TCG. I like the art, and the gameplay seems pretty cool.
Flesh and Blood is a game where players pit heroes against each other, chaining attacks against each other until only one is left standing. For those wanting to learn how to play, the official Flesh & Blood YouTube channel offers a solid guide to get you started. I suggest you find your favorite content creator for more tips once you get more invested in the hobby.
If you are interested in getting into this hobby, check out the official Flesh and Blood website. Use it to keep updated on news, products, and local events. The Flesh and Blood subreddit and discord are pretty active and another fantastic source for information.
If going to your local game store isn’t an option, you can try installing a Flesh and Blood addon to Table Top Simulator. I recommend you buy a license for TTS if you want to play board games with your friends online. While it is a fantastic way to play your favorite board games online, it can be clunky and lacks automation. The best place to play FAB online is on Felt Table.
Felt Table is a browser-based app for Flesh and Blood. It offers an automated experience with an easy-to-use interface. The cards are easy to read, and the cards look great. Felt Table is the place to go once you get a basic understanding of the game’s mechanics, or just want to play test a new deck. The app has an easy-to-use deck builder that allows imports, solid prebuilt decks to get you started, and a well-programmed AI to play against. They also just released a new campaign mode that is worth checking out if you are interested in the PVE side of the hobby. They also hold Sealed events and it has a pretty solid tutorial worth checking out.

I tried both AI battles as well the campaign and thought the experience was interesting. The games run very smoothly. I liked how easy it was to get started and play matches, but I don’t think I am smart enough for this game. I had enough fun fumbling to the end of matches, and will be returning to Felt Table to keep practicing. At the moment, the game hasn’t captured my attention enough to invest in, but I am happy to have an accessible avenue to continue to figure out who I am in the TCG space.
While my search for a new TCG continues, I believe you should give Flesh and Blood a shot. The community seems to be steadily growing, the mechanics are interesting, and the art is pretty cool. The app is also free, so you have nothing to lose.
