The final trailer for El Paso, Elsewhere just dropped, and its amazing!

The final trailer for El Paso, Elsewhere just dropped, and I can’t wait for the release. The trailer is epic, and I recommend you check it out even if you have no intention of buying the game. El Paso, Elsewhere is a quirky retro shooter where players hunt hordes of vampires, werewolves, and other demons. The voice acting sounds great, the story and gameplay seem fun, and I am excited to hear what they put on the soundtrack. El Paso, Nightmare, the game before this, had an amazing soundtrack.

El Paso, Nightmare is a lot of fun. I’ve reviewed Nightmare in a previous post, make sure you check it out if you want more details. The game is a lot of fun, and worth the $4.99. If you are looking for a casual game and enjoyed the retro era of gaming, go get El Paso, Nightmare.

El Paso, Elsewhere releases on Xbox and Steam on September 26. No price has been announced yet, but make sure you wishlist it! If you enjoy these updates, make sure you like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends.

Second Wave Beta coming October 6th!

The Beta for the MOBA Shooter Second Wave has been announced for PC and Xbox. The beta will run from October 6th to the 16th. Now I got to play an early version at GDC and got in for the Alpha and loved every second of it. Even though the versions I’ve tried were rough, they were enough to keep me excited for Second Wave’s release. I understand that it is too early to judge since we don’t have a finished product, but I see the potential.

Second Wave will be playable on PC, Xbox, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and IOS and Android devices. It is essentially Overwatch, but more anime-inspired. I just hope Second Wind isn’t as toxic as Overwatch has become. I loved playing support and can’t wait to hop back in and play some more. This game is fun, and worth trying if you enjoy the genre, so make sure you wishlist the game on Steam and join the Discord to stay on top of all the news.

Animal Crossing and Mario Kart switch bundles coming in October!

Nintendo just announced a new line of consoles and bundles just in time for the holiday season. If you are looking for gifts or something for yourself, these bundles will be a great place to get you started. If you’ve been enjoying these updates, don’t forget to like, follow, and share this with your friends!

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Aloha Edition

I am going to start with my personal favorite, the Animal Crossing Aloha edition Switch Lite bundles. The design is simple, but I love the colors they are come in. This bundle will have too flavors: Isabelle’s and Timmy & Tommy. Both bundles will include a digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which I still have to get around to playing, and the special edition console. I don’t like the colors will be retailer exclusives, but that’s the world we live in now. I just hope the scalpers don’t ruin it for the rest of us. MSRP is set at $199.99.

Nintendo Switch Lite Isabelle’s Aloha Edition

Isabelle’s Aloha edition is my favorite of the two because of the color. The Coral color switch will be a Target exclusive.

Nintendo Switch Lite Timmy & Tommy’s Aloha Edition

The turquoise console will be a Walmart exclusive.

Nintendo Switch – Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle

Now the Mario Kart bundle may not come with an exclusive special edition console, but it does come as a regular Nintendo Switch system, a digital copy of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, and a 3 month subscription to Nintnedo Switch Online. Mario Kart has cemented itself as the perfect starter game since its conception, making this a pretty solid gift if you are looking to get your kids started on their first Nintendo. The bundle retails at $299.99, and it isn’t retail exclusive. Preorders available at Best Buy

Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Mario Red Edition

If you are looking for a special edition, full-sized console, you need to look at the upcoming Mario Red edition. It comes with an OLED version of the switch for a better handheld experience, and a cool red design you are going to want to display prominently. The Mario Red Edition comes out October 6th retailing at $349.99 MSRP. Preorders are available at major retailers

Sign ups to test Amazon’s new MMO, Thorne and Liberty, are now live

Sign-ups to test Amazon’s upcoming MMO, Throne and Liberty, are now live. Throne and Liberty is an MMO coming to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, but no date has been announced yet. Selected players will get the first look at what seems to be a truly massive and beautiful new world. The test will be running from September 19 to October 3rd, and those selected will be notified on the 14th. The test will be for all platforms, but please be aware that you will need an Amazon account to sign up.

I’ve already signed up and have my fingers crossed that I get in. There will be an NDA, so there won’t be a follow-up post, but I am still excited to have a first look. The combat system looks fun, there looks to be massive open-world events, solid PVP, and I am a fan of the art style. I am a bit hesitant because it is an Amazon game, but I’ll reserve my judgment until I try the finished product. Amazon games tend to be a bit too grindy for what I have time for, but Throne and Liberty could be different.

If you are interested in trying Thrones of Liberty, make sure you sign up for the test on the official page. And if you’ve been enjoying these updates, make sure you like, comment, subscribe, and share this with your friends. Good luck!

The demo for the cute pixel art puzzle platformer Quadroids is up on Steam, and I liked it

If you have been enjoying my content and want to support what I do make sure you like, comment, subscribe, and share this with your friends. You can also buy me a coffee

The Quadroids Demo is Steam, and I recommend you check it out if you are looking for a chill yet engaging puzzle game. This cute yet morbid pixel art puzzle platformer will test your ability to multi-task. Guide your Quadroids through a series of dangerous puzzles on your quest to conquer the galaxy. Quadroids are expendable, and you will lose a lot of them.

The demo is short, about 30 minutes long (depending on your ability to multi-task), and it does a fantastic job of easing players into the mechanics while creating a solid expectation for the full game. It is a little sad that the Quadroids are so cute because you will need to sacrifice them on your path to total domination. There will be solutions that will require you to sacrifice Quadriods to clear the puzzle. Don’t worry, you eventually grow numb to their deaths.

The gameplay loop is simple. Quadroids move automatically. The only command issued to Quadroids is jump. Puzzles are divided into four quadrants, and each quadrant has a unique button for the jump command. When the Quadroid is in the top left quadrant, it will only react to the top left trigger. The game has keyboard support, but I recommend using a gamepad because it feels more comfortable. What makes this game difficult is that you will often be controlling multiple Quadroids at once. You’ll want to coordinate multiple Quadroids through the puzzles to get the fastest times in the least amount of commands. If the puzzles prove too easy, you can always try completing the optional challenges.

I really enjoyed this game. The puzzles are fun, the music is great, and the art is cute. I am not the best when it comes to platformers, but the platforming and puzzles are manageable. This is a game you’ll want to pick up when you want to relax, but you either don’t have much free time or don’t want a game that requires a huge commitment. This might not be a game you play till completion, but I’ll need to check out the full version to know for sure.

Quadroids will launch on PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox soon, but no release date has been set yet. Until then, check out the demo on Steam.

Persona 5 Tactica, a cute strategy game coming this November!

Persona 5 Tactica is coming to consoles and PCs on November 17, 2023. The Phantom Thieves find themselves in a strange realm surrounded by Legionnaires. Now they must help the revolutionaries and find a way back home. Do you have what it takes to get the Phantom Thieves back home safely?

I love the art style of this game. If you are a fan of Persona or just want a new strategy game to hop into, this might be worth looking into. It certainly gives me Mario vs. Rabbids vibes, and I love Mario vs. Rabbids.

Persona 5 Tactica will have a skill tree to unlock for each character, unique combos you can perform, and a reserve unit system that I am dying to try. You are able to change the difficulty after you start the game, which is an amazing feature for people like me who aren’t very good at strategy games but still want to enjoy the experience.

I’ll be picking up a copy when it comes out, but am still deciding which version. I am not convinced the digital deluxe version is worth getting if I am only getting two additional characters.

Preorder your copy today!

Xbox: Regular ($59.99)/ Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99)

PS5: Regular ($59.99)/ Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99)

PS4: Regular ($59.99)/ Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99)

Switch: Regular ($59.99)/ Digital Deluxe Edition Price Not Available

Sea of Stars trailer reveals a new character: The Portal Assassin

The new trailer introduces the new character Serai, and she is bringing with her a whole new dimension to combat. She can portal around the battle field and back stab enemies! It honestly doesn’t get cooler than that. I love how creative the combat system is in Sea of Stars. This isn’t your traditional turn-based RPG, it is a lot more involved than that. I haven’t had this much fun with a demo in a while, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the full game.

I’ve been excited to play Sea of Stars for a while now. The game looks very good, and the demo is a lot of fun. I you haven’t tried the demo yet, I highly recommend you do so now. If you weren’t thinking about buying it before, you will after the demo. The demo is available for Xbox, Steam, PlayStation, and on the Nintendo Switch. Make sure you check out my impressions of the demo.

Sea of Stars launches on August 29th. I’m hoping to pick it up on the Switch day one, and will be back with the review as soon as I can.

The Gundam Maxter and Demi Garrison HG kits are up for preorder on Premium Bandai

I recently found Gunpla addiction and have been constantly looking everywhere I can to fill my collection. Premium Bandai always seem to have unique kits that might be worth looking into if you want to add some high quality pieces to your collection. Today we only got High Grade kits, but HG are a great place to start if your looking for a place to start.

HG 1/144 GUNDAM MAXTER ($31) (Sold Out)

This is a fun kit. I love the color scheme and all the boxing poses seem like a lot of fun. $31 is a bit expensive for a HG kit, but its worth it when its this unique. Preorders end on Jan 2024, or until supplies end. This kit is expected to ship sometime February 2024.

HG 1/144 DEMI GARRISON ($24)

The Demi Gerrison is actually my favorite kit from the two revealed today. I like that it looks more like a mech and even though it may be more simple, I like that it is different from the rest of my growing collection. Preorders for this kit end on January 2nd, or when supplies run out. This kit is expected to ship Feb. 2024.

That’s it for this update. There is more swag and figures available on the official page, but I’m only going to focus on the Gunpla for now. Make sure you check out Premium Bandai for goodies from your other favorite IPs. Make sure you follow, like, and share this with your friends. See you next time!

Tarisland Beta coming this November!

I have been watching the Gamescom coverage a bit passively, but one title that has stood out and has gotten me excited is Tarisland. Tarisland is an MMORPG coming to PC and Mobile devices soon. No date has been announced yet, but there is a beta coming in November. I’ll be making an announcement as soon as I know more, but you can either sign up for updates on the official website or join the official Discord.

The art style looks heavily inspired by World of Warcraft, which I kind of like. The gameplay I’ve seen seems fine, but it is too early to tell if it will be any good. The game will feature seven classes: Ranger, Paladin, Warrior, Mage, Priest, Bard, and Barbarian Fighter. Each class offers two distinct styles styles of gameplay.

Barbarian Fighter

Mage

Priest

Paladin

There is some character customization, but it is limited to things like hair style and color. I would have preferred to play set characters like in Genshin Impact instead if the characters were cooler, but I think the goal is to allow customization through cosmetics. I can only hope the price tag for cosmetics isn’t too high because these characters will need cosmetics.

The game will have dungeons, raids, and pvp like in a traditional MMO, but it isn’t going to be pay to win according to the publishers. I will have to take them to task, but I appreciate the sentiment. The game will balance players through seasons where players will start at the same power level and will have the same opportunities as they level up. I assume there will be a battle pass, but they have said no power level will be tied to the cash shop so it might just be cosmetics.

I hope this game isn’t a terrible grind because what I’ve seen so far has me interested. I am always looking for an MMO to get into, and a game I can play anywhere is always a plus. I’ll probably roll a Bard or Priest because I love to support, but I’ve been enjoying the DPS life lately. I’ll be trying to get into this beta, and will be posting updates as I receive them. I just hope Tarisland can be the one that fills the void!

Pokémon just dropped a lore cinematic for Poltchageist, and it’s pretty impressive!

The new Pokémon Poltchageist was announced recently, and I didn’t feel too much excitement towards its design. I haven’t been the hugest fan of the recent designs, but playing the TCG has been slowly chipping away at my reservations. I am sure some of the nostalgia I hold dearly has been jading my opinions, so I’ve been trying to be a little more open. With The Teal Mask DLC coming out on September 13, I am giving Violet another try and have started a fresh play-through.

Pokémon has released a cinematic trailer for Poltchageist that has skewed my opinion to be a bit more favorable toward the haunted Tea Caddy. This short provides some chilling lore and fantastic flavor for a Pokémon I was ready to dismiss. Definitely check it out if you are planning to get the next expansion, or if you just want to see a cool Pokémon cinematic.
