The newest set for the Digimon TCG, Blast Ace, releases on November 17, so it’s a good time to get hyped and look through the card list. I already see some cards I want to add to my collection. Always preorder your Digimon Product from your LGS, but you can always preorderBlast Ace, or any other Digimon Product from TCG Player through my affiliate links if that isn’t an option.

The Pokémon TCG regionals in Lillie France brought some new faces to the top of the format. It is always cool to see how the meta shifts between each region. Obviously, we see a few familiar contenders, but that’s the nature of the game. I’ll leave affiliate links for those of you who want to buy singles. TCG Player is also a terrific place for sealed products, like the new 151 expansion. If you enjoy these updates, make sure you like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends!
1. Mew Vmax
Mew VMAX was the first deck I ever built, so it will always have a special place in my heart. It is a lot of fun to play, and it’s nice to see it still doing well with all the Charizards out there. Congratulations to Konsta Kallama for taking first place!
Love it or hate it, Lost Box continues to be a strong deck in the meta in its many incarnations. Congratulations to Arthur Trutzschler for taking it to 2nd place!
Last but not least we have LostTina, which always seems to perform consistently in the format. Congratulations to Alberto Conti for making it to the top 5!
Fervent Workshop is launching two unique games in their upcoming Kickstarter that you should look at if you like choose-your-own-adventure books, deck builders, dungeon crawlers, or Dungeons & Dragons. The campaign starts on October 16 and will feature the games What Lies Belowand Dungeon Maker Deluxe. This will be a short campaign, so go back early.
I play a lot of One Deck Dungeon, so when I saw the campaign for What Lies Below, I knew I needed to try it. This is a solo game where players dive through an immersive story-driven experience where danger is real, death is permanent, and your decisions matter. All you need to play this game is a pencil, a character sheet, and some luck. The game features unique skill checks, 14-win conditions, and many ways to die. Do you have what it takes to make it through once?
The game comes in two editions: Print-and-Play and bound printed book. The PNP version of What Lies Below includes an interactive PDF and a printable character sheet to get you started. Those who prefer physical media and have shelf space should opt for the book because you get both versions. Early backers will get an exclusive reusable dry-erase character sheet to use on their adventures. Most importantly, the Kickstarter will have a free sample of the game available for download. Make sure you grab your copy and try it out. If you like D&D and dungeon crawlers, you need to look into What Lies Below. I’ve got an early copy of the game and will post my impressions as soon as I get a few runs in. Stay tuned for that.
The second game making its debut is the dry-erase edition of Dungeon Maker Deluxe, which is an update to the existing Print-and-Play edition. Dungeon Maker Deluxe is a dungeon-crawler deck-builder that supports up to six players, with an option for solo play. Players draft from a deck of monsters and use them to fill the rooms and fortify their dungeons to keep out pesky adventurers. With all the possible combinations of dungeons, characters, abilities, and monsters, you are always guaranteed a unique delving experience. Do you have what it takes to stump your friends?
This game looks like a lot of fun, especially in a large group. I don’t have friends to play with, so I appreciate the solo play option. Dungeon Maker Deluxecombines all my favorite formats in one. If you like games like 7 Wonders or Tapestry, then you need to look into this Kickstarter. This update will include 36 unique cards (versus the 18 in the original), streamlined gameplay, new character art, and the dry-erase sheets.
If you want to see how these games are played, Board Games for One made a great video showcasing both. He gives a clear and easy-to-follow explanation of how to play the games and runs through a few scenarios to provide a solid preview of what to expect. Go check it out, and make sure you follow the Kickstarter. The campaign starts on October 16.

The new starter decks for the Digimon TCG, Wolf of Friendship and Dragon of Courage were released on October 13. This means it is time to go over the card lists and get hyped. Check with LGS to preorder for the exclusive promos, and ask if they will be running the special prerelease event for these decks. The decks introduce the new Ace mechanic, and they are a solid place to start if you are trying to get into the hobby. I also wouldn’t mind adding a few of these to my collection.
This post will focus on the Dragon of Courage deck, so make sure you check out my previous post about the Wolf of Friendship deck. The deck will include a reversible paper playsheet you’ll probably toss or store somewhere, memory gauges you’ll quickly replace, and a playable 54-card deck. All starter decks will need some tweaking to be competitive, but they are fine to get you started in casual play. I like to keep a few sleeved starter decks in case anyone ever wants to play.
MSRP for this deck is $15.99, but I wasn’t able to find it for that price. Always check your LGS first. If that isn’t an option, TCG Player has the Dragon of Courage deck for as cheap as $12.25, shipping included. Please use my affiliate link.

The Adventure Box 2 for Digimon TCG is officially along with the newest set, Resurgence Booster[RB01]. This means we have the rest of the Memory Boost Alt cards, and they look sick. They retail for $19.99, and I wouldn’t pay more than that. Right now the only place you can find them is on TCG Player (which I am an official affiliate as of today), but they are asking way too much at $44.99. Do not buy them at this price. The first Adventure Box is still available at Target for MSRP so I don’t see why the price wouldn’t come out. While the Promo card and figure would be nice to have, the better deal is getting a booster box, which you can get for as cheap as $68 with free shipping as of writing this. A better way to get the Memory Boosters at the moment is from the Gallantmon/Ulforce Veedramon Starter Decks. You can buy the set on TCG Player for $29.
That said, if the price ever goes back to MSRP, this will make a great gift for the tamer in your life. The boxes come with four packs from the new Resurgence Booster set, a small figure you can use as a memory counter, and a unique promo card you are going to want in your collection. I wish it included multiple copies or colors, but I guess they need their money too.

It’s been a little slow in the world of the Digimon TCG this week, but with the release of the Resurgence Booster upon us, I am not surprised. We did get the box toppers for the set and an alt art card for the upcoming Adventure Box that I am super excited about. If you’ve been enjoying these updates, don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe, and share this with your friends.
Resurgence Booster Alt Art Card
The Resurgence booster is coming out this week on the 20th, so make sure you head to your local game shop and put in your preorders. There is always TCG Players if your LGS doesn’t carry Digimon. The set will include important reprints and some new cards that both players and collectors will want to get their hands on. I will start things with the last of the alt cards revealed for the set, Proximamon.
I am a little biased, but purple is the best color. This card is just so cool. I love the mirrored images in the back, the pose, and the lighting. This is going to look sick with the foiling. It’s not my favorite alt art from the set, but it is a strong way to end the reveals.
Box Toppers
I’ve never gotten lucky with the box toppers, but I am happy for the inclusion. This set includes some neat playable ones you might want to get your hands on. This set feels very Ghost Game heavy which is fine because I love Ghost Game.
Red Memory Boost Alt Art
Finally, we are starting to get a sneak peek at the alt art cards that will be included in the Adventure Box set also releasing on September 29. The set will come with 4 boosters, a small 1-inch figure, and an alt art memory booster promo card. There hasn’t been any word on what figures will be included, but I am hoping it’s Ghost Game. I would love a little Gammamon to display on my desk. I wish they included two or the promo cards or at least a play set, having just one feels a little greedy when you need multiples for a deck. This feels fine for collectors who don’t care about multiple copies, I just hope it’s easy to find the different figures and promo cards. The first card revealed is the Red Memory boost, let’s hope the rest come soon and are as cool!
We got bunch of exciting announcements this week! Bandai’s card tour was announced, we got a bunch of reveals for the upcoming Resurgeance Booster (RB01), a date for the upcoming starter decks, and some new promos you’ll want to add to your collection. If you enjoy these updates, don’t forget to comment, like, follow, and share this with your friends!
Bandai Card Games Fest 2023-2024
In an effort to push their six running card games: Dragon Ball Super, One Piece, Union Arena, Digimon, Battle Spirits, and Battle Spirits Saga, Bandai is hosting events around the world where fans can gather and play their favorite games. There are bound to be some exciting announcements at these events and cool products that players and collectors will want to get their hands on. I hope these events go well because it seems like a great way to get people into the hobby, but it also makes for a fun event existing fans can enjoy. Make sure you check out the official page for more details!
Dragon of Courage and Wolf of Friend Ship Release Date
The newest starter decks are releasing on October 13, and they are a great buy if you want to try out the new “ACE” mechanic. Check with your LGS for the prerelease events happening from October 6 to October 12 for a good time and some awesome prizes. Participating stores will also be giving away special promo cards with the purchase of any two copies of this deck.
Resurgence Booster Reveals
The Resurgence Booster comes out on the 29th and I am beyond excited! This set will have some very important reprints which is fantastic for the game and players. We got a bunch of cool spoilers to get you excited for the set, so make sure you preorder the set from your LGS as soon as you can contain your excitement.
We also got new promos for regionals in October. If you want to add any of these card to your collection, make sure you sign up for an event on the official page.
