I’ve been looking at Grand Archive cards for a while because I like the art, and it seems like a neat game. If you like anime and want some neat collectibles, you might want to look into the TCG. I know I am a little late, but let’s start this showcase with the Fractured Crown set. The set has some very cool cards, and some that I want to get a hold of. The Fractured Crown booster box is only $45, which is very tempting.
Check with your LGS to see if they carry Grand Archive, but you can always pick up Fractured Crown and other Grand Archive products from TCG Player. I’ll also leave links to singles for those who need them.

Animal Colosseum releases on January 19th, so let’s look at the Yellow cards hitting the format. There is a bit of overlap, but we are getting a Fanglongmon card. I’m a bit underwhelmed by the design, but at least the alt art card is cool. Mitamamon is a personal favorite from this color.
If you enjoy these updates, please leave a like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends. If you want to can preorder Animal Colosseumor buy any of the existing sets like Blast ACE, get it over at TCG Player through my affiliate links! I’ll also be leaving links to the singles where available, but I would hold off till after the set releases and the prices stabilize.
Animal Colosseum releases on January 19th, so let’s look at the black cards hitting the format. There is a bit of overlap with my previous post. The monkeys are specifically spectacular, especially the Etemon. I love the flavor of the card and how vibrant the concert seems. Black is my least favorite color of the set so far, but I still see a couple of cards I’d love in my binder.

There is a lot to go over so I’ll leave a table so you can skip to the information that is important to you:
What is Animal Colosseum
Animal Colosseum is a themed booster that will introduce 74 new cards into the format:
22 Common
18 Rare
12 Super Rare
2 Secret Rare
Plus Alt art cards and box toppers
The set will also include the new Fortitude keyword, some beautiful alt arts, and some cool box toppers to chase. It will also include a flavorful line up of Digimon like:
I was sent the board game GAP for free to review. While I am very grateful for the opportunity, I won’t let it sway my opinions. This will be my honest review. If you enjoy my reviews, please like, comment, follow, and share this with your friends. You can also always buy me coffee.
GAP is a quick 2-6 player card game that is easy to learn and teach from our friends over at Arcane Wonders. The goal is to be the first person to get 15/30/70 points by matching the colors on the card. The point goal depends on how of a game you want to play.
The best way to learn the game is through the tutorial video on the official Arcane Wonders’ Youtube.
How To Play
In summary, you have a deck of four colored cards. The goal is to collect the most of a single color. You collect cards based on the numbers on the card you put down. For example if I put down a yellow 9:
You would only pick up the numbers written on the corner, with the biggest taking priority. In this case, you would pick up all the 9s from the middle. If none of these numbers are in the middle, the 9 is added to the pile, and nothing gets added to yours. You repeat this until everyone runs out of cards and tally the scores.
The Game
The game comes in a palm-sized compact box with one multi-color deck. The colors are easily distinguishable, and the shine looks beautiful. The cards do feel a little flimsy and are a little hard to shuffle. While they look nice on the table, I am not confident in their longevity, especially if you play with kids. I recommend using card sleeves.
Sample Size
I am the only one in my family that likes board games. My family agreed to help me with my review but were reluctant. My wife doesn’t like board games, and she’ll check out if it starts to get more complicated than Uno. My sister is a little more accepting, but she also has her limits. Her boyfriend is always down to play anything.
Impressions
What I loved most about this game is how easy it is to get started. The rules are easy to teach, and the game is easy to understand once you get started. Halfway through our first game, everyone at the table was working on a strategy. By the second game, everyone knew what they were working towards. As simple as this game is, the randomness makes it engaging. My sister had a round where she was consistently working on a stack of blues when one turn forced her to pick up other colors.
Games of GAP only go for about ten minutes, depending on the type of game to play. Ten minutes is perfect, especially if you have people at your table who don’t like board games. Longer games at my table aren’t really an option, so I found this a blessing.
I loved it, and I am happy my family loved it too. If you’re looking for a game to play with your non-gamer buddies, GAP is a fantastic choice. It takes seconds to learn, and it’s fun enough to keep people engaged. GAP goes for $14.99. You can pick GAP up at the official Arcane Wonders’ store or online retailers like Knoble Knight Games.
Rise of the Floodborn comes out this Friday the 17th, so let’s do some window shopping. Sealed Lorcana is still expensive because of scalpers, so make sure you’re buying your product from your LGS or the big box stores when they get their drops in a couple of weeks. You can keep checking with TCG Player, but I would hold off till the prices cool a bit.
Let’s close out these updates with the Sapphire card list. This is a nice color for fans of Beauty and the Beast, but I love the art of Cruella De Vil.

Blast Ace releases November 17th, and that means it’s prerelease weekend! Make sure you check with your LGS to see if they are running any events. You can also check TCG Plus for events near you. Participants will receive a special 2-pack of stamped promo cards in addition to this cute Gatomon!
Prereleases are a great way to meet others in the community, play some Digimon, and have a great time. Winners of the event will also earn a special Greymon (X Antibody) silver foil, and it looks amazing!
Don’t forget to support your LGS. People who purchase a booster box during Prerelease weekend get an additional promo pack! Blast Ace has some solid Box-Toppers you’re going to want to get your hands on. I know it’s always cheaper to buy the singles you want, but nothing beats cracking a bunch of packs.
The Box Toppers in no Particular Order

Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning will be playing at select theaters across the United States on November 8 and 9 through a special Fathom event. This is great news for fans of Digimon Adventure 2 because it brings back those lovable characters in a new adventure 20 years after the events of the original. If you don’t remember what happened, have never seen it, or simply need a refresher, the entire season is up on the official Toei Animation YouTube.
I’ve already bought my ticket and somehow convinced my wife to go, I can only hope it’s good enough for her to watch more Digimon with me. She did enjoy Ghost Game, so maybe there is a chance. You can pick up tickets to the show for $15 on the official Fathom page. Make sure you get to the show early because the first 50 attendants will get a 3-card promo pack for the Digimon TCG. They may not be the coolest, but it is a nice gesture.
The Promo Cards
Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning Set ($80)
Now if you need more movie-themed cards for your collection, you might want to look at the Digimon Adventure 02: The Adventure set on Premium Bandai. The set costs $80 and comes with:
30 Digimon cards (15 unique cards x 2 each)
50 Imperialdramon: Dragon Mode Sleves
5 Special Digitama Sleaves
1 Rubber Playmat
1 Storage Box
These promos definitely look a lot better than the ones you’ll be getting at the show, but it’s up to you how much you enjoy this series to justify the price tag. Preorders are open till November 27, or until supplies run out. The set ships in June.
Paradox Riftreleases today! It has a lot of cool cards that will not only shift the meta but that you’ll want in your collection. I see a few full art cards I will be chasing, like that sweet Laudred.
If it isn’t obvious, Paradox Rift is also live on PTCGL. Players get access to the Roaring Moon ex and Gholdengo ex decks, which are very solid starts at the moment. I know Roaring Moonhas been taking over the ladder, but at least it’s not Charizard ex. It’s going to be an awkward couple of days as the meta settles, but I am here for it. At least I start grinding the mission pass.
However you enjoy the game, this feels like a very fun set to open. If the drop rates are anything like what I’ve seen on PTCGL, I love it a lot more than 151. Make sure you always support your LGS when buying any Pokemon product, but you can always pick up Paradox Rift, or any of the other sets on TCG Player through my affiliate links.

The Digimon Card Game Tutorial App, available for IOS and Android devices, has been updated to include the new Wolf of Friendship and Dragon of Courage starter decks. The app is a fantastic tool for learning how to play the Digimon TCG because it offers easy to follow instructions of some fundamental mechanics. The inclusion of the newest starter decks mean that beginners can begin by learning the new ACE mechanics. If you are interested in picking up the Digimon TCG, I recommend you check out the app. I can only hope that this update will one day lead to an online client so that I can play this card game from the comfort of my home.
Bandai has also released an ambiguous trailer for a new project. It featured a new Digimon and a series of words that make me think that we may get some sort of anime or short to push the game. I can only hope that we get a web client, but there is too little information to know for sure. Whatever this is, I am excited and can’t wait to learn more!
