I was asked to cover the Heroes of the Seven Islandsdemo for my blog. This will be my honest impressions, but I understand the game is still in development and will adjust my criticism accordingly.
Furax the Indestructible has risen from the dead to spread his misery. Only the oracle has the power to stop him, but he has long since retired. It is up to the four bravest heroes of the land to venture across the seven islands of the Emerald Archipelago to find find him. Can they find the keys to Oracle in time to save the world, or has Furax’s reign cemented itself into the darkest part of history?
Gameplay
The game is a point and click game where players move across the archipelago fighting monsters, finding clues, and trying to stay alive. Players start the game by creating a party of unique characters and choosing from a few interesting classes. The game features impactful turn-based combat, and a decent amount of exploration to keep things fresh and interesting.
Impressions
I need a full version of this game because I am hooked. I love the hand-drawn quirky art style. It gives the game its flavor and cozy feel. However, do not let overall silliness of the game fool you, it is unforgiving if you aren’t playing carefully. Combat seems simple, but it takes a bit of strategy to get through it. I am sure there is a correct competition that would have kept me from wiping so much, but I was having too much fun exploring the different classes.
The demo does a fantastic job at giving players a taste of what is to come, and I am excited to experience more. I love the game’s non-linear approach to progression, the art style, and the gameplay. If you’re looking for an RPG that is cozy but offers a bit of a challenge, you need to check out Heroes of the Seven Islands. I’ll be trying to get a full version for its release Q2 2025, but you can always add to your Wishlist for the mean time.

You have always enjoyed writing your fan fiction but never dared to share it with the world. This all changes when a chance encounter with a classmate gives you the push you need to start your writing career. Grow your following as you explore the world for your next story. What stories will your life inspire? Will you find the words that will move the world?
Gameplay
The game is split into a few different parts: customization , exploration, and writing.
Throughout the story, players will unlock new decorations for their room and character’s chibi. Decorations can also be bought with my money they earn from working. These decorations have no impact in the story, but it is a way for players to customize their experience.
The game gives players a finite amount of energy to spend on activities each day. The game does guide players through a few events for the progression of the story, but players can spend their days who they want. Events range from going to work, hanging out with friends, and even going to comicon. These events are slice of life stories that earn players money and materials for their stories.
At the end of the day, players will sit down and write their next fan fiction based on events from that day. Most of the story is prewritten, but players get to choose certain aspects of the story. The story is graded at the end, and the grade impacts the amount of followers gained each day.
Review
The game is still in early access, but it is in a good enough place where I can safely recommend it. Aside from a few translation issues, Sensei! I Like You So Much!is a cute story with fun characters that is worth reading at least once. It has decent pacing with wholesome quirky elements that make it the perfect cozy game for any occasion.
The art in this game is fantastic, especially if you enjoy cute and quirky anime. I was surprised by the amount of customization available. Players can outfit their characters, decorate their room, and even make their own room. The room customization is a lot of fun and I spent way too much time trying to find the right aesthetic that would be conductive to my writing, even though it had no tangible impact on the stories progression.
My favorite aspect of the game is the flavor. I enjoyed the struggle of training to come up with a good story, even though the story is already written, and the stress of planning out my day. Do I want to hang out with my friends or do I want go work to be able to afford that cute thing I want to hang on the wall? This was a constant struggle, but one I was more than happy to have.
Sensei! I Like You So Much!is the cute and cozy game everyone needs in their library. The idea is unique, the story is fun, and the art is fantastic. Check it out on Steam Early Access!
I wanted to write this to let you know that this review is no longer valid. The devs have made some changes that have ruined the game for me, specifically the terrible decision to red-con the opening scene and change the entire story. The story is what got me into the game, and the fact that the latest patch took away the story and made aspects of the game unplayable makes it hard to recommend the game. I might come back if they fix the game, but until then, I’m out.

What is Infinity Nikki
Infinity Nikkiis a gotcha RPG coming to PlayStation, PC (via the official client and Epic Games), and Mobile (via Android and IOS devices) on December 5th.
Nikki finds herself in a strange and magical world where her outfits grant her special powers. She can use these powers to fly through the air, gather material, and fight off monsters. There is an darkness spreading across the land, and Nikki seems to be the only one capable of stopping it. Will she be able to harness the powers of thew Heart of Infinity in time to stop the land, or will Darkness finally take its hold?
Gameplay
Players travel across the land collecting materials to unlock different outfit abilities. These abilities help Nikki move around the world, gather materials, and look good doing it. Players must collect these abilities by completing different tasks, quests, and through the natural progression of the story. Like most RPGs, there are monsters to kill, puzzles to solve, and treasure to find but the dressup mechanic is what makes Infinity Nikki unique. Players can buy outfits through the cash shop, but these are purely cosmetic. Players can either buy complete outfits, or they can pull for random pieces of an outfit. The game and its story can be played without spending any money, but looking good will cost a bit of money.
Review
I got to try Infintiy Nikki during one of the beta’s and loved every minute of it. I was very happy to get to try an early version of the game, and will continue to playing this game regularly.
The game features a cozy and enjoyable gameplay loop that will make it my go to relaxing title. Platforming and combat are engaging without being too demanding, and I enjoyed the casual repetitive nature of farming materials. It has a beautiful world to explore with lots to do, and a fantastic soundtrack to carry you through it. The story is a bit on the cutesy side, but it give the game its charm. I loved the tone and voice acting is fantastic.
The fashion in this game is fantastic. I spent a bit too long pulling for the perfect outfit, and it’s going to be hard to not have that advantage on the regular servers. The game gives players decent outfits for playing through the story, but there is a paywall for some of the cooler styles. While there is no pay-to-win feature, it is going to cost money to look good. The pull rates seem fair, but it is going to cost $50 to collect a legendary outfit, and even then it isn’t a guarantee. You’ll need to spend more money to pull additional colors, but at least the colors don’t affect abilities. I was able to get a decent outfit by playing the game and rolling with only in game money, but there is always going to be something to chase.
My only real complaint is that the game isn’t on Steam. It would be nice to play this on my Steam Deck without some kind of workaround, but this isn’t a deal breaker. I can just play on my phone.

Gameplay
Dungeon Inn is a turn based resource management system where players try to attract customers to their inn without raising suspicion of double dealing. Harnessing the power of the Dragon’s sprites, players will summon different tools to control the flow of traffic to their in. Players will have access to items that speed up, slow down, and different items and facilities to convince them to stay. There are also random events that help increase the Inn’s reputation while earning players a little extra money.
Players will have quests each week that need to be completed, and rent they need to pay at the end of the month. Normal mode allows players to enjoy the story with enough of a challenge to be engaging, but there is a harder difficulty available for those who need it. Mostly, you are sitting back and enjoying the cute pixels move around your screen as you build an Inn of legends.
Review
Dungeon Innis a fantastic and adorable resource management game that I will continue to play even after this review. The game has a fun cozy aesthetic and relaxing gameplay loop that makes it the ideal addition to any collection.
There is a point in resource management games where they can become a bit overwhelming, but Dungeon Inn’s turn based system keeps things manageable. While the game does offer an adequate challenge, it never feels overwhelming or stressful to keep up with the growing demand. Experience with the harder difficulty will vary.
My only complaint is that the game does feel a little short, but it is long enough to earn its price tag. The game is still in early access, with more content and story planned for full release. That said, the game is in a good place in its development, and well worth checking out in its current state. If you’d rather wait for the full release, make sure you addit to your wihslist.
If you’re looking for a new resource game that is cozy, fun, and not a huge commitment that is Steam Deck compatible, check Dungeon Inn on Steam today. There is also a demo you can try if you need more convincing. The demo goes through the initial tutorials, and it does a good job at setting up players for the rest of the game.

Into the Emberlands is an adorable village management survival game out now on Steam.
A deadly miasma spreads across the Emberlands, consuming all who dare step into its mist. Luckily, the light from the magical lantern at the center of town has the power to repel the mist. Fill your lantern with its magical embers and venture into the mist in search of materials, loot, and new members for your village. Can you find the means to thrive within the encroaching miasma, or will you be lost in its poisonous clouds?
Gameplay
Players will begin their game with a basic village and a few quests to begin their expansion into the miasma. Players then travel through the forest in search of materials, loot, and new villagers. Players can only travel into the forest if they have magical light to guide them. Each step a player takes within the miasma consumes fuel. Players only have a limited amount of fuel for this light, and running out of fuel means death.
Fuel can be replenished by returning to the base, collecting random nodes of embers, or saving a stranded villager. The amount of fuel a player can carry can be upgraded through quests, increasing the number of steps a player can make in the mist, but these upgrades are lost upon death. Make sure you always move carefully, and you are always questing efficiently.
Eventually, the village will become more complex with different helpful buildings, resources, and villagers. The distance that can be traveled will also increase, making the game feel less repetitive.
Does it work on the Steam Deck?
Yes, and it is a solid port. I preferred playing Into the Emberlands on the Steam Deck despite the slight awkwardness. The game runs great, but sometimes the cursor would disappear and other times the camera would be annoying to control. None of these issues made the game unplayable, but they did pop up enough times to be mentioned. Regardless, Into the Emberlands is fun and casual enough to make it the ideal couch or travel game.
Review
Into the Eberlands is a fun new twist to the village management genre. The game runs great, is super adorable, and has a fun yet challenging gameplay loop. Gathering in this game is simple and repetitive, but the ember mechanics make the loop exciting. It is easy to find that you have ventured too far from the village without enough resources to get back. It is also exhilarating to barely make it back to the village after making a series of risky gambles.
It could easily lose days to this game because of how fun, cute, and exciting the loop is. I recommend everyone try at least once.
You can pick up Into the Emberlands on Steam for only $6.59. The game is still in Early Access, but I feel comfortable enough to recommend it. You’ll at the very least get your money’s worth.

Harvest Days: My Dream Farm is a cozy farm simulator out now on Steam and GoG.
You always enjoyed the time you spend at your grandfather’s farm as a kid, and now it’s time to make y our own. Head to the country, tend to your crops, and build the farm you’ve always dreamed of. What will your dream farm look like?
Gameplay
Players are given a plot of land that they must tend to. Players start with a set amount of energy, and each activity costs energy. The longer you work on the farm, the easier activities get. Players can level at the end of the day based on their day of work. Did you spend all your day plowing the fields? Your plow skill will level and unlock new recipes.
Players can earn money by selling their crops. Money is used to buy food to restore energy, supplies for the farm, and decorations for those who want it. It wouldn’t be a real farm without animals. Players can buy and sell livestock, or adopt more pets to keep them company. The game is loaded with a good amount of features for players to make the farm their own. Quests and events pop up once in a while, but players are given the freedom to play the game as they want.
Review
I love farming simulators, and had a great time with Harvest Days: My Dream Farm. This is easily one of the genres where I can spend days on a session without concern for time. This has the potential to be one of those titles, but it needs a bit more content.
As far as farming sims go, Harvest Days is a solid title. It has a cozy art style and a few interesting mechanics that set it apart in the space, but it has a few issues that will turn off players.
The game has a slow start and a steep grind. I felt like I barely accomplished anything the first few days because I kept running out of energy. Leveling skills reduces an activity’s energy cost, but it doesn’t feel impactful until you’re a couple of days in. The money grind is also kind of slow. I normally love repetitive and grindy games, but here it feels too slow. I’m sure the intent is to have the farming get easier when players can level up their skills and acquire better tools, but I am having trouble seeing players get to that point.
Aside from a few bugs and awkwardness, the performance is fine. For example, driving a scooter can be very frustrating because it handles like a train. The experience gets better as you get used to it, but it is an issue. There are also times when the game doesn’t register player actions. None of the bugs I encountered were game-breaking. Your mileage may vary.
Harvest Days is a solid farming sim for the price, but it needs a bit more content. It feels a little basic, and that isn’t a bad thing. If you’re just looking for a cozy farming sim to sink some time into, Harvest Days is worth the $14.99. But if you’re looking for something polished without the grind, look elsewhere. It’s not the best farming sim, but it gets the job done.

Kid Pilot is a unique VR experience where players fly a toy airplane using their hand and travel through creative and beautiful environments. Grab your favorite toy plane and solve puzzles, maneuver through obstacles, and occasionally fight your way through what promises to be the coziest VR experience. Do you have what it takes to put this game down?
Gameplay
Kid Pilot is not a flight simulator, but rather a play simulor. Instead of having a cockpit, players control a toy plane from a third-person view and only through the use of one of their hands. It is very reminiscent of a simpler time when we used to pretend everything could fly.
The game starts simple as it eases players into the fundamental mechanics, but eventually ramps up the difficulty to keep things fun and engaging. Players will have to do things like fly through creative courses, shoot targets, avoid hazards, and solve puzzles. It is a very simple loop, but one that is consistently kept fresh and engaging.
Review
Kid Pilotis the cutest and coziest VR experience that I can’t recommend enough. I enjoyed flying the cute toy plane through the game’s creative stages and loved the cozy environment. The game has a great aesthetic, a fantastic soundtrack, and fun gameplay. If you’re looking for a relaxing and engaging title with a bit of whimsy, you need to pick up Kid Pilot.
Kid Pilot is great for kids. The gameplay is simple enough to grasp, the concept is cool, and the game is overall inoffensive. Adults will appreciate the unforgettably cute and chill experience. I promise you’ve never played a game like Kid Pilot, and you’re going to have trouble putting it down.

Tell Me YourStory is a picture story book game puzzle game out now on Steam and Switch. Play as Amilia as she uncovers Grandma Rose’s extraordinary stories. What treasures will you uncover? What memories will you make?
Gameplay
There is no dialogue in Tell Me Your Story. All narrative exists in these silent picture frames, and it tells its story effectively. In between these moments of narrative, players solve casual puzzles. You might need a hint for the less intuitive puzzles, but most can be completed easily. Tell Me Your Story is meant to be a relaxing cozy game, and I feel it is successful. It does feel like a kid’s game, but the story is cute, and the gameplay is soothing enough to be enjoyable for all ages.
Impressions
Tell Me Your Story was such a cute and comforting experience. I enjoyed the unique experience that it provides and didn’t mind that the puzzles were easy. I am a huge fan of the pixel art, and was impressed with how much story is told through just pictures. This is a solid kids’ game, but one that you won’t mind playing. The story is cute, the art is fun, and the gameplay is relaxing. If you’re looking for a cozy and comforting title for you or your kids, I recommend you pick up Tell Me Your Story.

The set will include some exclusive promos you’re going to want to get your hands on. While I enjoy the cozy vibes of the older sets, this new set has some art cards I want in my collection. I started following Akora TCG after opening a few packs of Spellbound Wings for pack openings I did on my YouTube and TikTok. I fell in love with the cozy feel of the artwork, and the game mechanics have some solid flavor. Well, there’s been a bit of news since my last update, so let me consolidate it all for visibility. This game deserves some attention, and the community is friendly and ready for new members.
