When I saw the Sorry We’re Closedtrailer on this year’s Indie Horror Showcase, I knew I needed to try the demo. Sorry We’re Closed looks like a fun and quirky homage to the classic era of survival horror, and I am here for it.
Michelle wakes up in the demon world after having been cursed by a demon. With the help of whatever she can find lying around, she must brave the horrors that roam this terrifying new world to find a way out. Do you have what it takes to set her free?
If you are looking for a spooky title to play, try this demo. The game does a terrific job of creating a spooky ambiance with its fixed cameras, music, and design. I loved the use of color, its edgy tones, and the gameplay. Exploration feels good, and combat feels even better. If you are a fan of the original Resident Evil game, this game should be on your wishlist.
I don’t normally do horror games, but I had to make this the exception. I’m hoping to grab a copy on release. Until then, make sure you play the demo, and add Sorry We’re Closed to your wishlist.

I just saw the trailer for El Paso, Elsewhere, and I can’t help but feel excited. I’ve played the previous title, El Paso, Nightmare, and loved every minute of it. Make sure you check out my full review.
El Paso, Nightmareis a fun little Doom clone that you should pick up if you want something fun that isn’t a huge commitment. Battle against endless waves of monsters and demons as you make your way through a nightmare of a labyrinth. My only complaint is that it can feel a little repetitive, but it earns its $5 price tag.
El Paso Elsewhereis bringing a story to this delightful indie title, and I am here for it. The trailer gives off some fun Noir vibes, and the new bullet time mechanics look like a blast. It looks like Blade meets The Matrix, and that seems like a good time. If this game is anything like its predecessor, El Paso, Nowhere is going to be a fun quirky game with a fantastic soundtrack. I’ll be following its development closely and will do my best to play it as soon as it becomes available.
El Paso Elsewhere comes out sometime this fall on PC and Xbox. A demo is available on Steam if you want to try it first. Don’t forget to add it to your wishlist, and make sure you try out El Paso, Nightmare while you’re at it!

The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation is a horror game coming to PS5, Xbox, and Switch. No release date has been announced yet, but preorders for the physical copies of this game go on sale on the 15th for PS5 and Switch only. There are also collector editions of the game for those interested in the swag.
Six university friends investigate a well-known urban legend, but what they find is a lot more than they bargained for. The group has awoken an ancient curse. Now they must survive the night as vengeful ghosts hunt for them. Do you have what it takes to solve the mystery and survive the night?
Play as one of the students and try to survive one of the longest nights as you stealthy explore a creepy and immersive setting, solve puzzles, and experience what looks to be a well-presented narrative. The art and graphics look great, the setting looks scary, and the voice acting is fantastic. Of course, this opinion is based on the trailer, but the trailer did enough to creep me out.
I don’t really play horror or stealth games, but this is going on my watch list. Hopefully, I can muster enough courage to play through this game, even if it has to be with the lights on. If you don’t want to wait for the console release, you can pick it up on Steam for $19.99. It is currently on sale for $13.99 until the 13th. There is also a demo you can try if you need more convincing.

Occasionally while watching this movie, viewers will be given choices that will affect the outcome. The movie has ten endings and different storylines. The timer for each choice gives this movie its urgency, and some choices will be tricky to make. By the end of your first playthrough, you are going to want to play for a different ending. You skip scenes you’ve already watched to make the experience less tedious, but they are available if you need a refresher.
Mia and the Dragon Princess is a solid action movie.The story is a bit cheesy in parts, but it is a lot of fun. The acting is fine, the action is well-choreographed, and the stories are well done. I do have to warn you that the stories do get dark. There is death and violence in this movie, but nothing too gruesome. I loved all the small jokes sprinkled throughout, but I have a soft spot for cheesy movies. I want to keep this review a bit vague because I don’t want to spoil the story. I suggest you go as blind as possible for your first playthrough.
I was surprised by this title because I didn’t know what to expect. I loved it, and see myself returning to the title a few more playthroughs. It was a unique experience with a solid and fun story that I recommend to everyone. That said, it is a bit of a niche title. If you are someone who enjoys b movies or cheesy ones, this is a fun title. Otherwise, I would wait for a discount. I wouldn’t call this a game because of how easily you can earn all the endings, but it is also a bit more complicated than a movie. Mia and the Dragon Princess is a cool concept with an impressive execution, and I recommend you try it at least once with friends.

I was sent Super Meat Boy Forever as a review code. I am very grateful for the opportunity, but this will be my honest review.
Super Meatboy Forever brings the infamously difficult platformer to Android and IOS. DR. Fetus has stolen the meat baby Nugget, and it is up to Meat Boy and Bandage Girl to get him back. But can they survive the deadly traps that wait for them?
I’ve only ever played the unreleased Dr. Fetus’ Mean Machine, so I can’t speak on how it compares with the original platformer. I have never been a fan of platformers, so I’ll admit that I was hesitant to start this title. I quickly learned that as frustrated as this game made me, I couldn’t put it down.
In classic Meat Boy fashion, this game is hard. You will die a lot, but the sense of accomplishment when you finally complete a level remains unrivaled. There were moments when I couldn’t put it down because I just needed to beat the level.
Super Meatboy Forever plays like the Super Mario Run mobile game, but I would argue it is more fun. The characters run automatically, and you tap either side to jump or complete other actions. When you die, you restart at a checkpoint. This game is generous with checkpoints, so you won’t need to replay too much of a level when you die. To clear a world, you must complete a set number of stages before facing off against the world’s boss. Boss fights are creative, but you might break a few phones trying to clear them. This game also has challenges, a leaderboard, and collectibles to help motivate players further.
Super Meat Boy Forever is the cutest platformer to make you angry. I loved this game despite my aversion to platformers. The gameplay loop is addicting, the art is great, the music is fantastic, and the story is adorably dark. If you are looking for a fun phone game and don’t mind the challenge, you need to buy this game. You can pick up Super Meat Boy Forever for $0.99 on Android or IOS, and for that price, it’s worth it.

I got to play a bit of 7 Dwarfs: Legends Untold at GDC, and it was a blast. I didn’t get enough time with the title for a solid review, but it did leave a solid impression. 7 Dwarfs is an action-packed co-op roguelike that you should look into if you enjoy fast-paced arcade games.It reminded me of Castle Crashers, and if you are a fan of that game, you should check out this title.

Combat feels great in this game. Each dwarf has his unique set of skills, making the hardest part about this game its character selection. The characters and the world have a great design. I love dark pixel art. It creates the game’s grimdark setting, and it’s cool to look at. I didn’t get enough time with this title to get a deeper impression, but I am curious about the final product. I will try to get my hands on a copy if I have time when this game releases.
